Höllvikens IBF is a Swedish sports club from Höllviken in the municipality of Vellinge . The men's team plays in the Svenska Superligan , the highest Swedish division.

history

founding

The association was founded in 2008. Floorball was previously played under a different sports club. In the first season, the men's team just barely succeeded in advancing from Division 3 to Division 2. After the reorganization of the Swedish college hockey league, they played in Division 1, the third highest Swedish league, from 2010. 2012/13 the club from Höllviken dominated Division 1 Södra Götaland and rose to the Allsvenskan.

Allsvenskan and Svenska Superligan

Already in the first season in the Allsvenskan Södra, the men qualified for the SSL with fourth place in the table and rose to the top division as a team with the fewest points. After only one season, the men's team had to say goodbye to the Superligan as 13th in the table. With a strong 2015/16 season in Allsvenskan Södra, Höllvikens secured renewed promotion to the SSL. In the season, the team reached the 12th final rank, which ensures that they remain in the highest Swedish table tennis league. They ranked ahead of two former top clubs.

Stadion

The teams from Höllviken play in the hall where possible. It has a capacity of 800 people. Alternatively, the club can also use the Gyahallen.
