The FC La Walck was a French football club from the place La Walck (German: Walk ) in the Alsatian department of Bas-Rhin . The club existed from 1920 to 1990 and had a greater role in Alsatian football in the 1940s and 1950s.

history

The association was founded in 1920 in La Walck, a small town near Hagenau in Lower Rhine , which has belonged to the municipality of Val-de-Moder since 2016 .

During the German occupation of France in World War II from 1940 to 1944, the football clubs from Alsace-Lorraine took part in the games of the German Reich . The FC La Walck now appeared as FV Walk and in 1942 managed to rise to the Gauliga Alsace , from which he was relegated to the district class at the end of the 1942/43 season as the table penultimate.

In 1949, FC La Walck was promoted to the Alsatian honor division, which he immediately completed in the 1949/50 season with the championship and promotion to the highest French amateur class . The last place in the table in the 1950/51 season meant the immediate relegation to the Alsatian honor division, which FC La Walck belonged to until 1957. In the period that followed, the club only played in leagues below the Alsatian honor division.

In 1990 FC La Walck merged with AS Uberach to form FA Val de Moder .
