The Gauliga Alsace 1941/42 was the second season of the Gauliga Alsace of the professional football department . The Gauliga was played this season in a group in a round-robin tournament with twelve teams. The Gau championship secured the SG SS Strasbourg for the first time and thus qualified for the German soccer championship 1941/42 . In this, the Strasbourg reached after victories over the Stuttgarter Kickers and the 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 the quarter-finals, in which they were eliminated by a 6-0 away defeat against the eventual winner FC Schalke 04 . Since the number of participants was reduced to ten clubs in the coming season, four teams were relegated.
