The FC United Lalenok is an East Timorese football club . He is based in Dili .
history
The association was founded in October 2016 by Zenilda Gusmão, the daughter of the politician Xanana Gusmão , and her husband Pedro Belo , a high-ranking police officer. It was originally discussed that the team should compete in the Segunda Divisão as early as 2017 . In January 2017 there were even preparatory games against other teams. Instead, thought was given to the creation of a third division in which FC Lalenok United should also participate. Finally, he was officially registered by the Liga Futebol Amadora (LFA) on April 20, 2017, along with eleven other clubs . The twelve teams then played in a qualifying tournament from March 16 to 31, 2017 for entry into the LFA Segunda Divisão 2018 . The FC Lalenok United reached with two wins the eligibility for the second division.
In the 2018 season , he was promoted to the Liga Futebol Amadora Primeira Divisão with second place .
