Saburtalo Tiflis ( Georgian საფეხბურთო კლუბი საბურთალო - saburtalo tbilissi ) is a Georgian football club from Tbilisi . He plays in the Georgian Erovnuli League . The home of the club is the Bendela Stadium , which can accommodate 1,800 visitors.
history
The association was founded in Tbilisi on August 20, 1999. In 2005 the Iberia Business Group bought the association. The owner became Tariel Khechikashvili, who was appointed Georgian Minister of Sport and Youth.
Saburtalo has one of the leading football academies in Georgia. Well-known players of the club are Giorgi Chanturia, Valeri Kazaishvili and Jemal Tabidze. The Spaniard Pablo Franco Martín ran the club during the 2015/2016 season.
In March 2016, Manolo Hierro was appointed sports director.
