Dawit Targamadze ( Georgian დავით თარგამაძე ; born August 22, 1989 in Tbilisi ; English transcription David Targamadze ) is a Georgian football player . His older brother is Irakli Targamadze (* 1975) , who was once only used sporadically in professional football .
Club career
Targamadze came in 2006 on the recommendation of Aleksandre Iaschwili from the Georgian club Meschakre Agara in the youth of SC Freiburg and in 2008 won the German championship with the A-youth . The technically skilled midfielder then received a professional contract, but was not eligible to play until the end of September. He made his first professional appearance on September 28 in the away game against Alemannia Aachen . After six appearances in the second division season 2008/09 , he came in the Bundesliga season 2009/10 only twice to train and received no new contract at the end of the season. A hindrance to his development was the fact that as a “non-EU foreigner” he was not allowed to play for the second team of SC Freiburg playing in the regional league .
Since October 2010 he has been under contract with the Ukrainian second division club PFK Oleksandrija and rose with the club in 2011 to the Ukrainian first division . At PFK Oleksandrija he was immediately an indispensable regular player. In total, he scored 12 goals (5 assists) in 35 league games. Because of these strong performances, he was committed to the top club Shakhtar Donetsk during the winter break of 2011/12 . However, he was loaned directly to league rivals Illitschivez Mariupol to collect match practice. He also played there in the 2012/13 season, and in the current 2013/14 season.
National team career
On August 10, 2011, he made his debut under Temur Kezbaia in the national team of his home country , when he was in the 0-1 defeat in the friendly against Poland up to the 50th minute of the game and then, already warned with a yellow card , by the longtime France legionnaire Aleksandre Guruli was replaced. Then he came to three appearances in the European Championship qualification . In the last group game against Greece , he scored his first international goal in the 19th minute with a directly converted free kick.
