history

At the end of the 1990s, the idea arose of an initiative in kindergartens to make singing acceptable again.

The idea - at that time still under the working title "Singdrossel" - was first discussed in the executive committee of the DCV and finally in 1999 at the German Singers' Day in Limburg with the grassroots. In the end, “FELIX” (the lucky one) was chosen as the name, with the singing bird in the logo.

Since 2004 there have been special seminars for Felix consultants in order to move from the differing national initiatives to a nationwide stand. In the same year, a training center for educators joined the initiative for the first time and offered extra training for its students.

In the meantime, other choir associations, z. B. the General Cecilia Association for Germany and the Choir Association in the Evangelical Church in Germany , the initiative.

criteria

FELIX includes a total of several criteria, whereby only the first four are relevant for the award.

  1. Daily singing
  2. Adaptation of the key / pitch to the high register of the child's voice
  3. Diverse and age-appropriate selection of songs
  4. Integration of songs from other cultures

In addition, subordinate criteria are included in the assessment, such as:

  • Performance of the songs you have learned (e.g. at parties, celebrations and parents' evenings)
  • Inclusion of rhythmic instruments
  • Integration of dance and movement games.

Award
