FFH area Thielenbruch

The FFH area Thielenbruch is a 62  hectares large Natura 2000 -type region in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes a nature reserve in Cologne and parts of another in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

The Natura 2000 area is registered in accordance with Directive 92/43 / EEC (Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive) with the FFH area report DE-5008-301 under the name “Thielenbruch”. It consists of the Thielenbruch and Thurner Wald nature reserve in the city of Cologne and parts of the Thielenbruch nature reserve in the area of ​​the city of Bergisch Gladbach . Of particular importance is the occurrence of the helmet azure and the bellied diaper snail . The following are of common interest: marsh grass meadows on loamy or peaty soils (6410), transitional and swinging lawn bogs (7140), lime and base-rich fens (7230) and alder, ash and softwood alluvial forests (91E0).
