history
The Rüppurrer football company was founded in 1904. The club first attracted attention in the higher amateur area in 1951 when it rose from the 2nd amateur class to the amateur league in North Baden . There the newcomer had no chance and, together with fellow promoters FV Weinheim and VfR Pforzheim, came back from bottom of the table.
After the team had narrowly escaped relegation from the 2nd amateur league Mittelbadens several times in the mid-1960s, they rose in 1967 as bottom of the table in the fifth division. For the season 1969/70 she returned to the 2nd amateur league and missed as third in the table behind the relegated VfB Knielingen and FC Germania Untergrombach the direct march into the top amateur division. The return to the amateur league North Baden took place in the following season , when VfB Bretten was distanced by one point.
Again, the level in the amateur league North Baden was too high for FG Rüppurr; With 82 goals conceded, the club had the worst defense. Together with Amicitia Viernheim and Phönix Mannheim , he rose again directly after the 1971/72 season . The team placed in the 2nd amateur league Mittelbadens first in midfield, before relegating in 1975 as bottom of the table. As a result, the club only succeeded in local football in and around Karlsruhe.
