The steam locomotive series kkStB 53 was a freight train - Tender Locomotive series of kkStB whose locomotives originally from Dux Bodenbacher Railway (BDE) and the Bohemian Northern Railway came (BNB).

kkStB 53.01–26 ( Dux-Bodenbacher Railway )

The Dux – Bodenbacher Eisenbahn procured these 26 locomotives from 1872 to 1882 from the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik , from Sigl in Vienna and from the StEG locomotive factory . They were assigned the lane numbers 9–34.

The machines were classified by the kkStB as 53.01–26.

After the First World War , they came to the PKP , which they eliminated without giving them their own series number, and 20 copies to the ČSD , which they designated as series  314.0 and retired in the 1930s.

kkStB 53.31–63 ( Bohemian Northern Railway )

The 33 locomotives were delivered from the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik from 1871 to 1901 to the BNB, which eventually gave them the series designation V and the numbers 57-89.

The kkStB referred to the machines as 53.31–63.

After the First World War, the remaining machine 53.55 came to the FS as series 218 , which it retired in 1923, and 15 units to the ČSD, of which only 13 were given series number  323.1 and which were retired by 1952. The remaining 17 machines came to PKP, which they decommissioned without giving them their own numbers.
