Fabian Guedes (born August 16, 1980 , Santa Cruz do Sul , Brazil ), also known as Bolívar , is a Brazilian football player . The defender has been under contract with AS Monaco since summer 2006 . For the 2008/09 season he was loaned to SC Internacional .
Life
Bolívar's professional career began in 1999 with Guarani FC in Brazil. There he only worked for two seasons before he was under contract again for one season with Guarani via the stations Gremio Porto Alegre and Joinville EC . In 2001 he was able to win the national championship and the Copa do Brasil with Gremio. In 2003 he moved to SC Internacional , where he with the team three times Campeonato Gaúcho won. Bolívar celebrated his greatest success so far shortly before he left Brazil. With Porto Alegre he reached the final of the Copa Libertadores 2006 and they prevailed with an aggregate result of 3-2 against FC São Paulo . At the beginning of the 2006/2007 season he ventured into Europe and joined the Ligue 1 representative AS Monaco . The transfer fee was € 3 million. In Monaco he signed a contract until 2010.
On the 4th matchday of his first season in France, he made his debut in France's top division in a 2-1 win against CS Sedan . Right at the first appearance for his new employer, he scored a goal, into his own goal. Since then he has consistently performed and established himself in the central defense of AS Monaco. In his first season he came on 34 missions and the team reached 9th place in the league. Although he also held a regular position in his second year, Bolívar returned to Brazil in the summer of 2008 and signed a new contract with his old employer SC Internacional. On this he was loaned for the 2008/09 season.
