Fabian Peters

Fabian Peters (also Petersen ; † after 1576 ) was a Dutch organ builder who worked in northeast Germany.

Life

Fabian Peters came from Sneek in Friesland . Around 1566 he married in Rostock, where he also lived. From him new organs are known in some of the larger cities of Mecklenburg , Western Pomerania and the Uckermark , which are no longer preserved today. The Greifswald cantor Eucharius Hoffmann dedicated one of his cantiones to him in 1577 .
