Fabian Wittreck

Fabian Wittreck (born May 24, 1968 in Paderborn ) is a German legal scholar and professor of public law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster .

Vita

In 1987 Fabian Wittreck graduated from the Graf-Gottfried-Gymnasium in Arnsberg . After completing his military service, Fabian Wittreck studied law and Catholic theology at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 1988 to 1995 . After the first state examination in law in Würzburg (1995), he completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg , which he completed in 1997 with the second state examination in Würzburg. He then worked as an assistant at the Institute for Legal Philosophy, Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Würzburg (Chair Horst Dreier ). In 2001 he received his doctorate with a thesis on "Money as an Instrument of Justice - The Law of Money in the Work of St. Thomas Aquinas". The habilitation took place on June 22, 2005 by the law faculty of the University of Würzburg. Fabian Wittreck has been Professor of Public Law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster since the 2007 summer semester. Since 2013 he has succeeded Bodo Pieroth as Managing Director of the Institute for Public Law and Politics.

Since December 2010 he has been a member of the editorial board of the legal journal Ad legendum, published by students at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . Wittreck has been a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Markomannia Würzburg since 1988 .
