Fabio Caserta (born September 24, 1978 in Melito di Porto Salvo ) is an Italian football player .
Career
After almost ten years in the lower divisions such as Serie C or D , Caserta moved in 2004 to Serie B , the second highest Italian division, to Catania Calcio . In Catania he quickly advanced to become a leading player and crowd favorite. In the 2005/06 season he was promoted to Serie A with Catania Calcio . After the 2006/07 season, Fabio Caserta signed a contract with newly promoted US Palermo on August 31, 2007 . After only one year in Palermo , he moved to the newly promoted US Lecce for the 2008/09 season . The following year he joined Atalanta Bergamo , with whom he was relegated to Serie B after one season. In June 2010 he signed a loan agreement with AC Cesena , which was valid for a limited period of one year.
