Fabrice Brégier

Fabrice Brégier (born July 16, 1961 ) is a French manager . From January 2017 to February 2018 he was President and Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of Airbus . He was a member of the EADS Executive Committee , which includes Airbus Commercial Aircraft , Airbus Defense and Space and Airbus Helicopters . Since October 2018 he has been heading the French operations of Palantir Technologies .

Life

Fabrice Brégier was born on July 16, 1961 in Dijon (Côte-d'Or) and is the son of a physics professor and a housewife. One of his grandfathers was a worker. He took preparatory math courses at Carnot high school (Dijon). He is a graduate of the École Polytechnique (graduation 1980) and the Mines ParisTech Paris . Brégier studied at the École Polytechnique and at Mines ParisTech.

Fabrice Brégier began his career in industry as a mining engineer. In 1983 he got his first job as an engineer at the Creys-Malville Superphénix nuclear power plant . In 1984 he moved to the French aluminum manufacturer Pechiney in Japan . In 1986 he got a job at the French Ministry of Industry, DRIRE, in Alsace, and from 1989 he worked at the French Ministry of Agriculture. Later he was appointed technical advisor to the office of the Foreign Minister Jean-Marie Rausch and then to the technical advisor to the office of the Post and Telecommunications Minister.

In 1993 Brégier went to the Matra company as head of two projects: Apache MAW GIE (cooperation with DASA ) and Eurodrone GIE (cooperation with Atlas Elektronik ).

Eurocopter

From 2003 to 2006, Brégier was CEO of Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters ).

In November 2006 he was appointed COO of Airbus (at the time the civil aircraft division of what was then EADS) and from 2012 to 2016 he served as CEO of this division. As part of a reorganization, since 2017 he has been COO of the overall group , which now operates as the Airbus Group , and President of the civil aircraft business.

Palantir Technologies

In September 2018 he became head of France for the US big data analysis specialist Palantir, whose major customer is Airbus.
