Fachakademie (Bavaria)

Fachakademien are Bavarian technical schools of a special type and part of the vocational school system in Bavaria . Attending a technical academy requires at least secondary school leaving certificate, in the case of further training also an initial training and is characterized by its proximity to a university of applied sciences . They partially replace the former higher technical schools, insofar as these have not been converted into technical colleges.
