Hölzl Seilbahnbau was a small cable car construction company in South Tyrol , Italy.

history

The company was founded by Karl Hölzl in 1980, was based in Merano and for many years enjoyed a good reputation in the Alpine region for the planning and construction of smaller aerial tramways. In the 1980s, the company relocated to nearby Lana and at the same time, together with the Vorarlberg company Doppelmayr, founded the subsidiary Agamatic, whose aim was the planning and production of detachable chairlifts and gondola lifts .

The registration of the Funifor patent and its first implementation in 2000 on the Stilfser Joch are significant . In 2002 the three companies based in Lana, Hölzl, Agamatic and Doppelmayr, merged to form Doppelmayr Italia, which continues to evolve and successfully continue to develop the old concepts.
