Facundo Rodríguez , full name Facundo Rodríguez Calleriza , (born August 20, 1995 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.86-meter-tall offensive player Rodríguez is at least the 2015 Clausura in the squad of the first division club Atlético Peñarol . There he made his debut under coach Pablo Bengoechea on February 14, 2015 in a 3-0 away win against Club Atlético Cerro with a starting eleven in the Primera División . By the end of the 2014/15 season he played in a total of six matches (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. In mid-August 2015 he was loaned to Sud América within the league . In the 2015/16 season he played 18 top division games and scored four goals. In mid-July 2016, the first division promoted Boston River signed him on loan. In the 2016 season he played four first division games (no goal). In the Torneo Apertura and Torneo Intermedia of the 2017 season, he scored a total of eight times in 15 league appearances. He also played a game (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2017 . At the beginning of August 2017 he switched to Sandefjord Fotball as part of another loan deal . With the Norwegians, he scored a direct goal on his competitive debut and has so far (as of August 6, 2017) completed a first division game (one goal).

National team

Rodríguez took part in the Uruguayan U-20 national team's course in May 2014 . He celebrated his U-20 debut on June 10, 2014 at the latest under coach Fabián Coito with a starting line-up in the 1-1 draw in the international friendly against the Paraguayan selection. Furthermore, he has also been used in the international match against Paraguay on June 12, 2014.
