The flagpole of Jeddah ( Arabic سارية العلم بجدة, DMG Sāriyat al-ʿalam bi-Ǧidda ) was a flagpole completed in 2014 in the Saudi Arabian port city of Jeddah and has since been the tallest free-standing flagpole in the world.

The flagpole is 171 meters or 561 feet tall,  higher than the previously tallest flagpole in Dushanbe at 165 meters . It stands in the center of King Abdullah Square, a roundabout , and was inaugurated on September 23, 2014, the 84th national day of Saudi Arabia. He is hoisted with the Saudi Arabian state flag . The flag has a size of 49.5 meters by 33 meters and thus an area of ​​1635 square meters. It weighs about 570 kilograms. The flagpole is illuminated by thirteen spotlights that represent the thirteen Saudi Arabian provinces . A total of around 500 tons of steel were processed. The shaft has a slightly conical shape that tapers from 5 m in diameter at the base to 2 m at the tip. It contains the technical elements such as maintenance stairs and the mechanism for raising the flag.
