history

Numerous photo, cooking and computer magazines appear in the publishing house. It was founded in 1994 under the name Falke-Verlag by Kassian Alexander Goukassian, who is also the managing director. Since August 2014 the publishing house has had the legal form of a GmbH & Co. KG.

Objects

Falkemedia publishes the magazines Mac Life , iPad Life. the photography and image processing magazines DigitalPHOTO, CanonFoto, the music production magazine Beat , the cooking magazines So is (s) t Italy, LandGenuss, Mein LandRezept and MeinZaubertopf . There are also special editions such as the MacBIBLE, the iPadBIBEL, the iPhoneBIBEL, the PhotoshopBIBEL and, since 2014, the DSLR specials CanonBIBEL and the NikonBIBEL. In addition, the city magazines KIELerLEBEN, RENDSBURGerLEBEN and the websites of Sylt Fräulein and Förde Fräulein.

In the summer of 2010, the publisher took over the rights to the books magazine from the insolvent VVA Kommunikation GmbH. The magazine, which has been published by falkemedia since December 3, 2010, was merged into a new unit in February 2011 with its own magazine HörBücher. In March 2013, the Samsung Galaxy Manual was added as a special edition for Samsung's Android devices, followed by the regularly appearing magazine Galaxy Life. The magazines have been available in a variety of stand-alone kiosk apps for iOS and Android since 2014.

With the Pocket Academy, the first edition of an “Academy for your pocket” appeared in July 2014 as an iOS learning app. The first one was dedicated to the Apple operating system iOS version 7 with 100 video tips. Further Pocket Academy apps for iOS8, iOS9, iOS10 and the following OS X operating systems Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan and macOS Sierra were released. In a cooperation with Bosch, the Simply Yummy app was also released in July 2015, an app initially with 50 recipes and 25 video instructions. Falkemedia has been publishing specialist books on Apple hardware and software since August 2014. In August 2015, the publisher took over the subscribers to the discontinued specialist magazine Macwelt from IDG Magazine GmbH.

In 2016 the editors developed the magazine meinThermo. The latter was renamed my magic pot a few months later .
