Falkenberg - Boarding School Murder? ( Spelling : F4LKENB3RG - Mord im Internat? ) Is a German television series from the young fiction area. It has been broadcast on RTL II TV since July 15, 2019 . Initially, six episodes were produced for the first season.

action

A misfortune happened at the elite boarding school at Schloss Falkenberg: classmate Jonas Kramer perished. Much, including a suicide note, suggests a suicide . Jonas' best friend Ben Wieland sees it differently. He believes Jonas was murdered . For this reason, he enrolls at the boarding school six months later and appears there as a new classmate.

Ben quickly realizes that the students are silent about the events. Above all, Jonas' friend Jessica von Thiessen and her clique around Linda de Breuyne and her boyfriend Daniel Auberland as well as Jessica's cousin Sebastian von Thiessen keep themselves in silence. Ben befriends his roommate, Tyrese Simowe, who is the only one who knows his true intentions.

Over time, Ben uncovered some secrets. Jessica became a drug addict after Jonas' death and spent the summer holidays in a rehab clinic, where Daniel was the only one to visit her. The two had a one-night stand . Jessica tries everything to keep the secret from Linda, but the scheming Stassja finds out and blackmailed Jessica with her knowledge. This results in Jessica taking drugs again and causing a car accident. Ben, who has meanwhile fallen in love with Jesica, rushes to help her. Linda also keeps a secret, because for her Sebastian is more than just a good friend. However, all four keep the biggest secret together, because they know the real reason for Jonas' death. This has something to do with the secret network "Exlex" that rules the boarding school.

reception

Reviews

The television series received mostly mixed reviews.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ruled that the series tried "'with Netflix hits like" Dead Girls Don't Lie "(suicide at a high school)," Élite "(murder at a private school in Madrid) or" Quicksand "(rampage at a private school in Stockholm) ”, but fails because of the“ artificially inflated plot ”.
