Miguel Abrantes Ostrowski (* 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a German actor , director and author .

Life

Ostrowski spent his high school at the Aloisiuskolleg , a Jesuit boarding school in Bad Godesberg . After graduating from high school, he studied acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig , where he graduated in 1998. His first engagements took him to the Leipzig Theater , the Frankfurt Theater , the Renaissance Theater (Berlin) , the Mainz State Theater and the Freiburg Theater .

In 2004 he published an autobiographical book entitled Sacro Pop , in which he ironically deals with his time at the Aloisius College. The book received only moderate attention when it was published, but experienced a revival in 2010 in the context of the sexual abuse debate in the Roman Catholic Church .

From 2006 to 2011, Ostrowski worked as a freelance actor at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , the Berlin Maxim-Gorki-Theater , the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Theater am Neumarkt Zürich and the Komische Oper in Berlin. Between 2011 and 2014 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Residenztheater Munich , since then he has been working as a freelance actor again - at the Theater Basel , Staatstheater Darmstadt , Münchner Volkstheater , Schauspiel Köln , Schauspielhaus Zürich, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and at the Theater Neumarkt Zürich , among others . In 2018 he took part in the Nibelungen Festival in Worms Siegfrieds Erben .

Ostrowski has been seen in numerous film and television productions since 2017, including in the crime series Tatort , Der Alte , Hubert and Staller , The Rosenheim Cops and in the Dominik Graf television film Am Abend aller Tage .

In 2016 he made his directorial debut at the August Everding Theater Academy with the comedy Klotz am Bein .
