Fanfare and minstrel parade Altenstadt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fanfare and Spielmannszug Altenstadt eV is a registered music association from Altenstadt (Hessen) .

Marching is one of the strengths of the club in addition to the wide-ranging musical repertoire. The association has been a companion and representative of the Altenstadt community since it was founded in 1928 .

history

The club was founded in 1928 as a subdivision of the Free Sports Community Altenstadt. After it was founded in 1928, 22 members were active on the train. A year later, 32 were ready and in 1930 the first children's play man's train was built with a total of 16 students.

In 1933 the SA declared the club and the Free Sports Community of Altenstadt to be politically unreliable, the instruments and sports equipment was confiscated and the club was banned in the same year.

After the war, the Spielmannszug was re-established in 1952. The association's first appearance took place to celebrate the 40th anniversary of FSG Altenstadt. In the next few years the association continued to grow, with it the number of instruments, the number of members and the number of performances. In 1952, the first brass instruments were bought with natural sound fanfares, and a short time later the first musicians were trained on them. The marching band developed into a fanfare and marching band. In the summer of 1965, the range of instruments was expanded with the purchase of helicon fans (baritone). The FSZ Altenstadt meanwhile also took part in some competitions in the area. In 1966 natural Sousaphone was purchased, which gave the sound of the entire train more volume. In 1969 the club played for the first time in other European countries, namely in Deventer in the Netherlands . In 1971 the Altenstadt miners flew to West Berlin to play music there under the eyes of the then Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt during a municipal election.

The most important musical milestone up to that point was achieved in 1971 with the German Championship in Springe . In 1973 the Altenstadt fanfare and musicians' procession left the German Gymnastics Association, in 1975 new uniforms were procured. The club's first record appeared in 1979, followed by another in 1986. New uniforms were purchased in 1992, as well as a lighter summer version. In 1993, the Altenstadt fanfare and minstrel band separated from the Altenstadt Free Sports Community and became an independent association with its own statutes . The first CD in 1998 was followed in 2004 for the 75th anniversary of the fourth record of the Altenstadt fanfare and minstrel march.

Members and cast

In 2016, around 50 musicians were active in the fanfare and musician's procession. The instruments played are Ces- soprano flutes, Fez-alto flutes, E-flat fanfares , E-flat natural horns , baritone fanfares , natural sousaphones as well as drums and percussion instruments.

The association attaches great importance to youth work. For example, excursions and youth camps are organized every year to bring the children closer to the train. The fanfare and minstrel march in Altenstadt founded a youth train in 2007 to make it easier for children and young people who have just completed their training to transition to active train. The trainers are partly from their own association and partly from external trainers.

uniform

The club's uniform is red and white and has a uniform appearance. In addition, the club has a summer uniform that is more air-permeable and thinner than the historical uniform.
