Fang Yaoqing ( Chinese  方耀庆 ; * April 20, 1996 ) is a Chinese three-jumper who occasionally competes in the long jump .

Athletic career

Fang Yaoqing gained his first international experience in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where he won the silver medal in the long jump with a distance of 7.53 m and in the triple jump with 16.48 m. The following year he won the triple jump with 16.32 m at the Asian Junior Championships in Taipei and was fifth in the long jump with 7.47 m. In addition, he came seventh in the Chinese 4 x 100 meter relay in 41.23 s. In the triple jump he then took part in the Junior World Championships in Eugene and came in sixth with 16.15 m. In 2017 he qualified for the first time for the World Championships in London , where he was eliminated with 16.17 m in the qualification . Two years later he reached the finals at the World Championships in Doha , where he finished tenth with a width of 16.65 m.

In 2019, Fang became the Chinese triple jump champion.
