Fanny Posvite

Fanny-Estelle Posvite or Fanny Estelle Posvite (born May 27, 1992 in Limoges ) is a French judoka . She was third in the 2015 World Cup.

Athletic career

Posvite fought in the middleweight division, the weight class up to 70 kilograms , until 2018 . In 2013 she won the Mediterranean Games in Mersin. Two weeks later she won bronze at the Universiade in Kazan . In November 2013 she won the French championships for the first time. In 2014 she finished fifth at the European Championships in Montpellier , and the French team won the team competition. Four months later she was eliminated early on at the 2014 World Championships in Chelyabinsk against Italian Giulia Cantoni . In the team competition, the team won the title, Posvite was only used in the round of 16, the three fights after that Margaux Pinot denied . A year later at the 2015 World Championships in Astana, Posvite lost to the Austrian Bernadette Graf in the quarterfinals . Posvite won a bronze medal with victories over the Dutch rider Kim Polling and the Japanese rider Chizuru Arai . In April 2016 at the European Championships in Kazan , Posvite defeated Bernadette Graf in the quarterfinals but was defeated by Georgian Esther Stam in the semifinals . In the battle for bronze, Posvite prevailed against the British Sally Conway . In 2017 Posvite won her second French championship.

After a weaker year in 2018, Posvite started in 2019 in the light heavyweight division, the weight class up to 78 kilograms. She won the Grand Prix in Hohhot and won the French championships. At the end of the year she won the Masters in Qingdao.
