Bernadette Graf (born June 25, 1992 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian judoka .

biography

Bernadette Graf began her career at the Innsbruck Judo Center at the age of 6 and was able to win several national championships as a youngster. In 2011, she dominated the junior category up to 70 kg and won both at the Junior European Championships as well as at the World Youth Championship in each case the gold medal . Due to this successful year, they chose the European Judo Union for Promising female judoka 2011. 2012 won it for the first time in the general classification in a World Cup tournament.

In 2013 he finished third at the European Championships and was able to repeat this success in 2014 in Montpellier. In 2016 she took part in the XXXI in Rio de Janeiro . Summer Olympics and took fifth place.

She trains as a competitive athlete in the Austrian Army Sports Association , her rank is corporal .

At the European Open in Bucharest she celebrated her comeback in the -78 kg weight class after an injury-related break.

She was chosen as the flag bearer of the Austrian delegation for the opening ceremony of the 2019 European Games in Minsk .
