Sally Conway

Sally Conway (born February 1, 1987 in Bristol ) is a British judoka who won an Olympic bronze medal in 2016.

Athletic career

The 1.67 m tall Sally Conway has started her career in middleweight, the weight class up to 70 kg. In 2006 she won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships after losing to the Japanese Haruna Kawashima in the final. In 2007 Conway received a bronze medal at the U23 European Championships. At the Judo World Championships in 2009 , she finished fifth. After finishing seventh at the European Judo Championships in 2012 , she finished ninth at the 2012 Olympic Games .

At the European Judo Championships in 2018 , Sally Conway reached the final and was defeated by Kim Polling from the Netherlands.
