Farai Mbidzo

Farai Mbidzo (born October 6, 1972 in Salisbury ) is a Zimbabwean football player .

The defensive midfielder began playing soccer with the Black Aces in 1983 , where he later rose to the first team and played until 1993. He played for Circle United between 1994 and 1995, and between 1996 and 1997 for CAPS United .

In the summer of 1997, the trained industrial mechanic moved to Germany to work for Bonner SC . Here he only played one season, often waiting in vain for his salary. He then moved to VfB Leipzig , where he wore the number 25 on his back. Coach Hans-Ulrich Thomale confirmed that he had great potential, but criticized the lack of assertiveness.

For the 2001/02 season Mbidzo moved to VfB Lübeck . Here he played 41 second division and 76 regional league games ; in the second division he scored a goal, in the regional league he scored three times. He also played six games in the DFB Cup for Lübeck . After the 2005/06 season he moved to the second team at VfB.

During the winter break of the 2006/07 season, Mbidzo joined the second team of FC St. Pauli .

Farai Mbidzo played six games for the Zimbabwe national team (as of July 1, 2005).

Farai Mbidzo, who calls Bob Marley his role model, is the front man of the reggae band Oneness.
