Faraz Rabbani

Sheikh Faraz Fareed Rabbani (born 1974 in Karachi ) is a Pakistani-Canadian Islamic activist and scholar of the Hanafi School of Sunni Islam .

Life

Rabbani is of Pakistani origin and a personality of Islam in Canada . He used to be a central figure and for a long time has consistently been at the forefront of effectively using the latest web technologies and services to teach Islam in the West. Rabbani is the founder of SeekersGuidance . He was formally a central figure at SunniPath.com , where his popular Q&A and online courses helped make it the most respected online learning institution on the internet at the time.

In August 2011, he helped launch SeekersHub in Toronto with offices in Australia and elsewhere. He is a partner and legal advisor at StraightWay Ethical Advisory .

He has signed the Common Word initiative , the Amman Message ( Amman Message ) and the Open Letter to al-Baghdadi .

In 2012, he was included in a "List of 500 Most Influential Muslims" by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Jordan and the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding in Washington, DC .
