Open letter to al-Baghdadi
The Open Letter to al-Baghdadi ( English Open Letter to Al-Baghdadi ; Arabic رسالة مفتوحة إلى أبو بكر البغدادي) Is one of the Council on American-Islamic Relations published, the public open-access document of more than 120 Islamic scholars worldwide Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi , the fighters and supporters of terrorists operating Sunni - Islamist militia Islamic State (IS) from the Year 2014. In the form of an Islamic legal opinion ( fatwā ), the letter disapproves of the crimes of al-Baghdadi and his terrorists and at the same time provides the fundamental legitimation of al-Baghdadi as a “self-appointed caliph"And its well-founded caliphate are clearly in question, since a consensus with" all Muslims "must be available for the assertion , which was not the case in the case of IS.
