Faridpur ( Bengali ফরিদপুর ) is a city in the Faridpur district in the Dhaka division in Bangladesh . It is located on the Padma River and has about 104,566 inhabitants (as of 2001). Faridpur is one of the most famous red light districts in Bangladesh.
