The Farman Highland is a relatively flat and icy highland on the Lassiter coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 750 m high and forms the eastern part of the Hutton Mountains between Wright Inlet and Keller Inlet .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the highlands using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1961 to 1967. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1991 after the British atmospheric physicist Joseph Charles Farman (1930-2013), who from 1957 to 1990 worked for the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey and the British Antarctic Survey and headed the Faraday Station on Galíndez Island from 1958 to 1959 .
