The Hutton Mountains are a group of mountains in the southeastern Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula or in the northeast of Ellsworthland . They are bounded in the southwest by the Johnston Glacier , in the northwest by en Squires Glacier , in the north by the Swann Glacier and in the east by Keller Inlet .

The mountains were explored and photographed during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The United States Geological Survey mapped them based on their own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1968 after the British geologist James Hutton (1726–1797).
