tourism
The mountain is crossed when walking along the Westweg from Hausach to the Büchereck . Another marked ascent leads from Gutach (Black Forest Railway) to it. At the Farrenkopf is the Hasemann hut, named after the painter Prof. Wilhelm Hasemann . The hut is not managed, but can be used as a refuge. On the ground floor you can sit at tables and the attic serves as a bed. The Gutach Black Forest Association takes care of the maintenance of the hut. Every year the well-known New Year's Shock takes place here on New Year's Day. There is a spring nearby to replenish its water supply.
