Sebastiano Mannironi (born July 22, 1930 in Nuoro , Sardinia ; † June 11, 2015 ) was an Italian weightlifter . The 1.62 meter tall athlete started for Polisportiva Gennargentu from Nuoro and GS Fiamme Oro from Rome . At the 1960 Olympic Games , Mannironi won the bronze medal in the featherweight division.

Mannironi also took part in the Olympic competitions in 1956 and 1964 : when he first participated, he did not finish the competition, while in 1964 he finished fifth.

Between 1953 and 1966, the Italian also achieved two silver and bronze medals each at world championships and one gold, five silver and four bronze medals at European championships.

In 1958 he also set a world record in snatching the featherweight class.
