Farsta is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Farsta district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 9,000 commuters get on here.
The station went into operation on November 19, 1958, when the section of the tunnel bana between Hökarängen and Farsta was inaugurated. Until August 29, 1971 it was also the terminus of the T18 line, from then on the trains drove over the newly built section to their current terminus, Farsta strand . The station is between the Farsta strand and Hökarängen stations . It is around 9.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
