Hökarängen is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Hökarängen district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 6,000 commuters get on here.
The station was put into operation on October 1, 1950 as the 11th station of the Tunnelbana, when the first section of the Tunnelbana between Slussen –Hökarängen was inaugurated. Until November 19, 1958, it was also the terminus of the T18 line, from then on the trains drove over the newly built section to Farsta station . The station is located between the Farsta and Gubbängen stations . It is about eight kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
