Fasihi Farzaneh ( Persian فرزانه فصیحی; * January 3, 1993 , Isfahan , Iran ) is an Iranian sprinter .

Athletic career

In 2012, Fasihi won her first medals at competitions in Asia. At the West Asian Athletics Championships in Dubai ( UAE ), she won gold with the 4 x 400 meter relay and silver over 100 meters . With the relay she ran at the Malaysian International Athletics Competition in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ) on the silver rank and won bronze in the individual over 100 and 200 meters.

In 2013 she got silver in 7.60 seconds over 60 m at the 21st Fajr International Indoor Athletics Championships in Tehran ( Iran ).

In 2016 Farzaneh gained her first experience on the world stage at the Indoor Asian Championships 2016 in Doha , where she won silver with the 4 x 400 meter relay and finished fifth over 60 meters.

In 2017 she reached the semifinals over 100 meters at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku .

In 2018 Farzaneh became Iranian champion over 60 meters in the indoor season and again took part in the Asian Indoor Championships , where she won the bronze medal in the 60-meter run in 7.44 s. In the outdoor season, she became the Iranian 100 meter champion

In 2020 she ran the 60 meters national record of 7.25 seconds in Istanbul in mid-February . Farzaneh qualified as the first Iranian woman to participate in the indoor world championships in Nanjing , which were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic .
