Fast RMX ( proper spelling : FAST rmx ) is a racing game developed by Shin'en Multimedia for Nintendo Switch and released on March 3, 2017 in Europe and North America and September 14, 2017 in Japan as the successor to Fast Racing Neo . It was one of the Nintendo Switch launch titles . The game includes all the tracks and additional content from Fast Racing Neo, as well as six new tracks. The game offers 30 routes from the start. A free update on September 13, 2017 added six new routes, increasing the number of available routes to 36.

Gameplay

The aim of the game is to be as first as possible in several races and thereby unlock new cups, vehicles and difficulty levels. The player has 12 cups of 3 courses at his disposal, with only 3 cups to choose from at the beginning of the game. The game can also be played locally with up to 4 players and online with up to 8 players.

performance

The resolution of the game is up to 1080p even in the local 4-player mode , but if there are too many arithmetic operations it is scaled lower in order to guarantee a constant frame rate of 60 frames per second.

The German-language online trade magazine 4Players rated Fast RMX with 84 out of a possible 100 points and awarded the award “Good”. On the rating website Metacritic , the game has - based on 54 ratings - a Metascore of 81 out of 100 possible points.
