FAST Racing Neo is a futuristic racing game released exclusively for the Wii U in December 2015. The game was initially only available through the Nintendo eShop . It was developed by the German company Shin'en Multimedia GmbH. In July 2016, Nintendo announced that it would release the game as a physical copy on September 30, 2016. A successor appeared in 2017 with Fast RMX .

Gameplay

The FAST Racing League will be held in the future. The player steers a glider over various race tracks and has to assert himself against 9 opponents. By means of a so-called phase change (the glider can be "switched" between orange and blue) you have to use energy fields of the same color in order to briefly achieve a higher speed. Occasionally jumps are carried out in this way. Energy balls are distributed along the route, which you collect in order to charge your turbo bar. The turbo can be used to increase speed independently of energy fields. There are 16 tracks and three leagues. In addition, the game has a time trial, a hero, a local multiplayer and an online mode.

The title is the successor to the game Fast Racing League , which was released in 2011 for the previous console Wii . At the beginning of 2016, a patch was announced that fixes bugs , improves controls and general performance, and adds a minimap . This was published in May 2016.

Soundtrack

The 80-minute soundtrack can be downloaded from Shin'en's website in MP3 or FLAC format. The price can be determined by yourself, the minimum amount is 5.00 euros .

reception

Like its predecessor, the game received consistently positive reviews internationally. Based on 46 ratings, Fast Racing Neo received a worldwide rating average of 81% at Metacritic .
