action

The venerable Lin Ho Lung is the head of a powerful triad in Hong Kong, which he leads with his younger brother Tung. Lung's wife, Madame Soso, meanwhile manages the syndicate's assets through a sophisticated system of black funds.

At first everything takes its usual course until one day the police succeed in solving a large drug delivery and partially securing it. The organization responds immediately. The arrested triad members are murdered in police custody. The authorities are appalled by the extent of the violence. As a result, they intensify their efforts to get the brothers blown up soon. But conflicts also arise within the triads. Tung's gambling addiction strains the syndicate's finances, while shady Madame Soso secretly embezzles larger assets.

When Soso kidnapped and later murdered a high-ranking financier in order to cover up her dark machinations in order to compensate for various shortfalls with blackmail , the sensitive power structure in Hong Kong's underworld threatens to collapse. A smoldering gang war can, however, be prevented. Tung finally exposes his sister-in-law as an offended and humiliated intriguer. At the end of the film, she and her followers are struck down by Lung and his men. Lung himself is shot by the police, who have meanwhile arrived, while Tung looks into the gun barrel of a stranger.
