The Federação Nacional de Basquetebol de Timor-Leste (FNBTL) is the national umbrella organization for basketball in East Timor .

The FNBTL is based in the state capital Dili , in Ginazio GMT , in Avenida 20 de Maio (formerly Rua Jacinto Cândido ). Alberto Xavier Pereira Carlos is the president and Isildo Tilman is the secretary general.
Since November 2013, the FNBTL had been a member of FIBA Asia of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball , but switched to the FIBA Oceania zone on April 5, 2016 for better funding , although East Timor actually does not belong to Oceania , but to Asia .
