Federico Schiaffino
Federico Schiaffino (born August 24, 1953 in Portofino ) is an Italian artist . His work includes painting, sculptures, graphics, installations and performances.
Life
Schiaffino grew up in Portofino. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan with Aldo Turchiaro , followed by a degree in printmaking at the Pratt Graphic Center with David Finkbeiner , New York City and also at the New School with George Shapiro . Schiaffino completed a sculpture course with Nathaniel Kaz at the Art Students League of New York . He worked as a set designer for the theater company "Nuovo Repertorio" in Turin . Schiaffino lives and works in Welver , Westphalia and in Portofino, Liguria .
