Purgatory - The project is an album by the German-speaking rapper MC Basstard . It was published in 2003 under the catalog number BBX017 on the Berlin label Bassboxxx . The distribution took place via Distributionz . In 2004 Basstard founded his own label with Horrorkore Entertainment , so that Fegefeuer is the last release published by Bassboxxx .

Purgatory - The project was created between 2000 and 2003. The pieces on the album were recorded in different recording studios. For some songs the recordings were made in parts in different studios. The studios Soldier Studios, 4.9.0 Studioz, Bassboxxx Studios and Krank Studio were used.

Jayo, NHT, Frauenarzt , DJ Korx, Mach One , Playa Smoove were involved in the production of Purgatory . Jayo steered the melodies to Intro , The Fire , The Haunted House , Skit , Do you smell the whisper , Stop it! and The Last Song as well as together with Playa Smoove to Club of the Dead Poets . NHT ( they call me Basstard ) and DJ Korx ( Shake ) each contributed to the creation of the album with one production. Frauenarzt was responsible for the pieces Purgatory (Remix) and Das Spiel . Mach One also produced Pyromania and Purgatory (instrumental) .

marketing

The video for Purgatory had already appeared in advance . This was created under the direction of Kaisaschnitt for Paranoia Pictures and is the 16th track on the album.

illustration

The design and graphic work for the cover was provided by Korx for Supadruck Grafix. Poltageist for Koka Grafxx was responsible for the font.

In addition to an advertisement for Obscuritas Eterna , the booklet also includes an announcement for Basstard's own label Horrorkore Entertainment . Furthermore, there are references to the releases of Zwiespalt (Schwarz) and Zwiespalt (Weiss) in the winter of 2004. Both albums were finally released a few years later. Zwiespalt (Black) was published in 2009 and Zwiespalt (White) in 2011.
