The Feichtberg is a 777 meter high, wooded hill in the Innviertel , in the western part of Upper Austria . It rises on the southern edge of the Sauwald , 5 km southwest of the Danube between Engelhartszell and Kopfing in the Innkreis . Its relative height above the surroundings is about 100-170 m, the Feichtbach rises on its eastern slope.

Most of the mountain is located on the municipality of Kopfinger, the northern part on that of St. Roman . The surrounding villages - starting in a clockwise direction and starting in the west - are Kahlberg, Hötzenedt, Hackendorf , the hamlet of Feicht and in the south Paulsdorf and Pratztrum .

At the summit there is an air traffic control radar , one of the three radar stations of Austrocontrol , Austria's civil air traffic control. Its range is about 300 kilometers. Around 70 km southwest on Kolomansberg ( 1114  m ) there is a military radar of the Goldhaube airspace control , which has an even greater range.
