Feindflug is an electronic project founded in 1995 , which is characterized among other things by the provocation by means of texts, quotes and pictures from the time of National Socialism . Another characteristic feature is the complete absence of vocals. Instead, speech samples of various origins are mostly used, e.g. B. from films, reports or political speeches.

Name and controversy

The current name Feindflug was originally intended as a project name. One did not commit to this band name in order to be variable with regard to possible thematic changes. The logo is in an American Gothic font and not, as is often claimed, in German .

Feindflug was criticized from the start for glorifying National Socialism . Clarifications, often also in relation to current political issues, were only made hesitantly and only hinted at, but according to the project's own statement, it is not the task of the project to “take away the thinking” from the listeners. During concerts, the slogan "Use your brain and think about it!" Is repeatedly displayed, which can also be found in some booklets of Feindflug publications.

Feindflug's early work, the Maxi-CD I./ST.G.3 was published by the right-wing extremist " Verlag + Agentur Werner Symanek (VAWS)". According to Feindflug, the publication took place at this publisher due to problems with other labels who wanted to change covers and song titles, the allegations against the VAWS should not have been known at the time. In 2003 the maxi CD was re-released under the label "Black Rain" with the title I./ST.G.3 [Phase 2] .

“Any form of glorification / trivialization of the Second World War contradicts the intention of this project. Rather, it wants to make it clear that precisely this epoch of history represents the beginning of a new technological warfare in which the individual was / is becoming a victim of millions.

There is no flirtation here, but the album of the project is a cycle on the rise / motives / actions / fall of the Nazis from 1933–1945. In this sense, music / samples / pictures / etc. must be viewed as a thematic symbiosis. References of the topic to current affairs arise every day anew ...

The project definitely does not represent fascist ideas! Or would there otherwise be titles like “Stukas in sight” or “Bald threat” ?! You have to make the effort to question something yourself ...

Use your brain and think about it! Use your brain and think about it! "

- Declaration before the Feindflug concert at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen 1999

Excerpts of this can also be found in the booklet of the first and third albums and the live DVD, on the album Hirnschlacht there is a crossed swastika on the back.
