The Field Reconnaissance Corps ( Hebrew חיל האיסוף הקרבי, Hatzofeh Lifnei Hamahaneh; "Scout at the head of the army camp") of the Israeli Defense Forces is responsible for operational and tactical reconnaissance within the framework of military reconnaissance , to collect visual information on the battlefield and to transmit this quickly to the maneuvering forces. The corps consists of a headquarters , five regular operational battalions and a training base in the southern Negev . These include:

  • Nescher ( Hebrew גדוד נשר, Battalion 414, Vulture). The battalion operates in the area of ​​the Southern Command in the Gaza Strip and near the border with Egypt. It is made up of scouts and soldiers.

They work at different levels, from the division to the battalion to the brigade .
