course

The Feldmochinger Mühlbach rises under the headline name "Reigersbach" in the Munich district of Moosach near Dachauer Strasse . It then flows in Feldmoching east past the Feldmochinger See to the north through agricultural area and finally flows into the Würm Canal .

history

In the Middle Ages, three mills were built on the Moosach in the Feldmochingen area, for which small streams were needed that drained excess water from the mills. According to Volker D. Laturell ( Feldmoching-Hasenbergl-Buch ) the upper mill was first mentioned in 819, the lower mill 826 and the Mitter mill in 1468. Today two of these mills and their ditches still exist: the Mitter mill with the Schrederbächl and the upper mill with the floodplain.

Before the interventions in the water system in the north of Munich in connection with the construction of canals to supply water to the castles in Schleissheim , the Feldmochinger Mühlbach was the upper reaches of the Moosach , a tributary of the Isar .
