Felix Bernard (born Felix William Bernhardt , born April 28, 1897 in New York City , † October 20, 1944 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American composer , pianist and songwriter who worked internationally for the song Winter Wonderland Gained notoriety.

Life

Felix William Bernhardt, who received piano lessons from his father in his childhood, studied at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute . He toured the US as a pianist and later formed his own band and wrote smaller pieces of music. He worked with musicians such as Al Jolson , Nora Bayes , Eddie Cantor , Marilyn Miller and Sophie Tucker .

He is buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale .
