Felix Dias Bandaranaike

Felix Reginald Dias Bandaranaike ( Sinhalese ෆෙලික්ස් ඩයස් බණඩාරනායක ; * November 5, 1930 in Colombo ; † June 26, 1985 ibid) was a Sri Lankan politician of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

Life

Felix Dias Bandaranaike came from the well-known Sri Lankan family Bandaranaike . His grandfather Felix Reginald Dias Bandaranaike I and his father Felix Reginald Dias Bandaranaike II were both judges at the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka , while his older half-brother eginald Walter Michael "Mickey" Dias Bandaranaike was a lawyer, fellow and professor at Magdalene College at the University of Cambridge . After his aunt Sirimavo Bandaranaike formed their second government on May 29, 1970, Felix Dias Bandaranaike was appointed Minister of Public Administration and Local Government and Minister of the Interior and held this office until September 3, 1975. At the same time he served as Minister of Justice between 1972 and July 1977. After another cabinet reshuffle, he was again Minister of Finance between September 3, 1975 and May 18, 1977.
